PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS:Scattered showers will continue into Monday as a low pressure system moves out of the Midwest and is replaced by a strong, high pressure system. This will also make the wind speeds decrease throughout Monday. Temperatures will only reach the lower 50s Monday afternoon, roughly 5 to almost 10 degrees below average. Additionally, a light wintry mix may be possible Monday night, mainly well north of Madison (Baraboo recorded light snow Saturday night).Temperatures are going to dip into the mid to lower 30s Monday night, widespread frost is possible.
EXTENDED FORECAST:Tuesday night temperatures will drop even more, we will only be near 30 degrees, widespread frost is more likely Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. By Wednesday, conditions dry out and temperatures start to rebound. We'll be back back into the mid 60s by Friday and into the upper 60s/lower 70s by the upcoming weekend.
